It is in an original paper box. Size: 4 inch high This is Tanuki koma, Japanese folkart toy. Tanuki is racoon dog and appear on many Japanese nursery tale. Tanuki can be friendly but at the same time he can change to any other creature and trick people. Anyway, this tanui koma can be separated into 4 different koma spinning tops. This is called Hikoichi koma. There is a short story about Hikoichi and tanuki. Hikoichi is a smart guy living in Kyushu, South of Japan. One day, he went to see his farm and found his farm with lots of stones. He said with laudly, " This is good for me. I do not have to fertilize for 3 years. I am glad it is not horse droppings. Horse droppings damage soils." Next morning, he found his farm with no stones but lots of horse droppings. He said, " Oh no, I was glad that my farm was covered with stones.
