Description
Brian Nolan has been actively modeling for the past ten years. Brian had always desired to build models that had the flavor of the masters that he had come to admire. He studied the modeling styles of George Sellios, Dave Frary, Malcolm Furlow and Jon Olson. In 2000, Brian began entering local Sunshine Region NMRA model contests. His models were an immediate hit. In 2004, Brian’s best friends, Dave Revelia and Jon Addison encouraged him to take a diorama to the ultimate modeling contest, the National Narrow Gauge Convention held in Detroit Michigan. Brian’s diorama garnered a First Place in the contest. In 2005, Brian won the triple crown of prizes at the Narrow Gauge Convention. The Caboose Hobbies Award, the Narrow Gauge Gazette Award and the Mt. Albert Scale Lumber Award. These are the big three to win and he was able to take home all three at his second national contest!Brian has written articles for Finescale Railroader, Narrow Gauge and Shortline Gazette, Railroad Model Craftsman and Mainline Modeler. He has also built pilot models for some of the better known kit manufacturers and has been consulted for many models that you see on the shelves of your local hobby shop.Recently, Brian’s interest has changed from contest modeling to instructing the techniques for others to produce contest quality models. He conducts clinics at shows from coast to coast, and is always willing to share that extra little bit of information that will bring your model to a higher level. This DVD explains many of those bits of information and the secrets that have made him a champion in the contest arena. Filmed and produced by Scott Mason as Number 4 in his Craftsman Structure Building DVDs, this new one runs 68 minutes and has great ideas for model builders in all scale, beginners and old timers as well. No regional coding so it will play anywhere in the world. First class mail to the US and Canada is $4. $10 for shipping to all other countries. Paypal or personal check. Your choice. Be sure to check my other EBay listings for more DVDs of interest to all model builders.
