But it is a Southern Pacific AC-6 Cab Forward Steam Locomotive. (See pictures of the Locomotive , Tender and the box below) I had the backup battery pack replaced in Sept. 2005. I have charged the battery for 24 hours in Dec 2007 and ran the train forward and backward on 6 feet of track, so this engine works fine. BUT after power is cut from the track, the battery backup sound system does not fully cycle out all the sounds. This is because the battery pack does not hold a full deep charge anymore, so you should have the battery pack replace in the near future so to achieve maximum Performance from the sound system after track power shut down.
